We ask all new members to carefully read through the following overview. We love transparency, clear communication, and feeding people good food!

Private Member Association (or PMA)

In order to shop at our store, order online or join our Farm Food Membership, you agree to do business with Farm on Central PMA, a Private Membership Association.

What does this mean?

  • We associate and do business as members under a mutual contract, with more flexibility on the types of products we can sell. 
  • You’ll be asked to sign a contract and pay a one-time $5 (lifetime) membership fee, so it’s all legal and upfront.
  • We’re more empowered than ever to do business the way we want, when we want to. You and me. Our community together.


  • A Private Member Association or PMA is a business structure that allows us constitutional freedoms to do business in the private domain, outside of the government shackles.
  • As we are in the private domain and enter into private contractual relationships with our members, all disagreements are negotiated through mediation.

Farm Food Membership

Our Farm Food Membership is a monthly subscription to get a bag of farm products.  It’s a hybrid version of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), a model  where members buy a “share”of the farm at the beginning of the season, covering the cost of seed, irrigation parts, compost, packing supplies, everything the farmer needed to get the season going, and taking on some of the risk that the farmer carries in planting, tending and harvesting crops. In exchange, the members receive fresh, seasonal produce from the farm on a regular basis. It is based on mutual respect between the customers and the farmers.

Our Farm Member model has evolved to give the subscriber more freedom in when and how much they pay at a time for their subscription.  We, the farmer, carry more of the burden of up-front costs so we can give members more options. We also provide a variety of other products, mostly local, to better meet your needs.

Self-Bag members choose from our chalkboard in the store for at least $30 worth each week

Prepacked members get at least 30 credits in our online store every week. 

Due to the wide variety of vegetables, fruits, value-added, and grocery essentials we offer, we find members don’t have a problem using that credit each month. However, if you can’t use your full credit amount, you can order less or  just pause your share for a week. Unused online credits don’t carry forward in our current system.

Your Online Account

We use online software to help manage all the details of hundreds of farm members and make sure they get what is best for them and their families. 

You will be asked to create an account when you join the CSA or shop online.  You’ll be able to log into your account, choose and change your share, add options like milk or eggs, pause deliveries, and add additional items to your weekly order.

Payment Options

  • For Farm Food subscriptions, we accept credit cards, debit cards and e-checks (recurring charge authorization required for monthly plans). You can also arrange to pay with cash or paper checks (may take longer to get  started).
  • For online orders without a CSA subscription, we accept credit and debit cards only (no e-checks).
  • At our on-farm store onsite, we accept cash, checks, Venmo, credit cards, debit cards and Ohio Direction cards.
Farm Food Member accounts:

Autopay is Required: Your account will automatically be charged for 4 deliveries and again any time the balance falls below $30, and you will receive an email confirmation of the charge. Your card will renew each month until you ask us to cancel (2 weeks notice required).

Manual: If you prefer to pay by cash or check, you will receive an email when your account balance is below $50, and another if a hold has to be placed on your account because the balance does not cover that week’s order.

Delivery Hold (Pause your subscription)

A delivery hold can be put in on your member dashboard (Delivery Hold tab) for any length of time, or you can email csa@central.farm with your desired start /stop dates for the pause.  Our software calculates by Thursdays, so to omit a week, be sure your hold starts before that Thursday.

Cancellation or Long Hold

To cancel your Farm on Central subscription, send us an email at least 2 weeks before your card is due to charge again.  No refunds are given once your card has been charged. You can use up your balance online or request a gift card for our store.

Remember to request or put in a delivery hold after the last share you want to receive.

We understand that things can come up suddenly, but we do need  notice if you are moving, or need to pause for a long period of time.

Refund / Credit

Refunds via card or check are processed once a week.

Item Refunds/Replacement: If you believe you deserve a replacement or refund for poor quality, damaged, or otherwise unsaleable produce, please email us. Be sure to include what day/time you picked up the produce, how it was stored, and pictures if possible. If we can’t replace it, we can give you a box credit on an upcoming order. If you want refund by check, your concern will be addressed and a refund determination will be made within 14 business days from your submitted request. Our team works hard to produce the best products possible, so your feedback helps us improve our systems and catch issues early on.

Missed Shares: Credit will not be given if you (a) don’t notify us you can’t come that week and (b) don’t pick up your share by closing time Saturday. Sometimes shares are still in the CSA cooler on Tuesday, but we can’t guarantee it.  It’s best to put in a Delivery Hold for any week you can’t pick up.

Cancellation & Account Credit Balance: For canceled shares, we don’t refund your online account balance once your card has been charged. However, you can continue to use your balance even after your credit card has been canceled in our system.  If you’d like to spend your balance at our farm store rather than online, ask for a gift card.

Box on Hold Notice

If your account doesn’t have enough credit to cover a delivery, your account will go on hold until payment is updated.

If You Can't Get Your Share...

Please pause your share if you cannot pick up. Credit will not be given if you fail to pick up your pre-packed share by Saturday close of business. Shares still left after 5 pm Saturday may be given away by Tuesday.
Farm Shares (self-bag) need to notify us by Saturday COB to get credit for a missed share. We don’t automatically give credit when your name isn’t checked off.

Pickup Locations and Time Window

We have several locations that you may pickup in the general area. Please be respectful of these locations, and the hard work they do to help us distribute food to our community.
Please make sure to come during the pickup window — these locations typically do not have refrigeration, and can’t hold your bags.

Make sure to pick up the bag with your name on it. Shares are customized so each share bag may be different.

Referral Credit

We know that you are our best advertising and want to reward you if you share us with a friend, it’s truly a win, win, win! If you refer someone to our program, ask them to mention your name on signup, and we will give you a $25 referral credit on your account if they sign up and stick with us for at least 6 deliveries.

Please reach out to csa@central.farm for CSA questions, hello@central.farm for any other questions or office@central.farm for account and any billing questions. Instagram and Facebook messages are monitored, but not with the same frequency as email.
It is also important to add our hello@central.farm email address to your address book to keep our communications from ending up in your spam folder.
