We ask all new members to carefully read through the following overview. We love transparency, clear communication, and feeding people good food!

CSA

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) was a model originally conceived in the idea that neighbors buy a “share”of the farm at the beginning of the season, covering the cost of seed, irrigation parts, compost, packing supplies, and the myriad of things that the farmer needed to get the season going, and taking on some of the risk that the farmer carries in planting, tending and harvesting crops. In exchange, the “share-owners” received fresh, seasonal produce from the farm on a regular basis. It is based on mutual respect between the customers and the farmers. Our current CSA model assumes this structure but has evolved to give the subscriber more freedom in when and how much they pay at a time for their subscription.

Payments

Payments: We use a software system called Farmigo to help manage all the details of hundreds of farm members and make sure they get what is best for them and their families. You are able to log into your account, change your share, pause it, and add additional items to your weekly order.

Box Sizes and values

Box Sizes and Values: Members sign up for $97 a month of food from our farm. Due to the wide variety of vegetables, fruits, value-added, and grocery essentials we offer, we find members don’t have a problem using that credit each month. However, if you can’t use your full credit amount, just pause your share for a week.

We also offer seasonal farm shares as well through the summer season.

If you sign up for an entire season, we give a discount:

  • For a payment of $500, get a 3% bonus. Your balance will be $515.
  • For a payment of $1000, get a 5% bonus. Your balance will be $1020.

We have two payment options:

Autopay: If you choose the Autopay option, your account will automatically be charged again any time the balance falls below $40, and you will receive an email notification of the charge.

Manual: If you prefer, you will still have the option to make manual payments. In this case, you will receive an email when your account balance is below $50, and another if a hold has to be placed on your account because the balance does not cover that week’s box.

Questions and customer service:

Please reach out to hello@central.farm for any questions or office@central.farm for any billing questions. Instagram and Facebook messenger accounts are monitored, but not with the same frequency as email.

It is also important to add our hello@central.farm email address to your address book to keep our communications from ending up in your spam folder.

Refund / Credit

Refund / Credit: If you believe you deserve a credit for poor quality, damaged, or otherwise unsaleable produce, please email us. We will evaluate cases individually. Be sure to include what day/time you picked up the produce, how it was stored, and pictures if possible. Your concern will be addressed and a refund determination will be made within 14 business days from your submitted request. Our team works hard to produce the best products possible, so your feedback helps us improve our systems and catch issues early on.

Referral Credit

Referral Credit: We know that you are our best advertising and want to reward you if you share us with a friend, it’s truly a win, win, win! If you refer someone to our program, ask them to mention your name on signup, and we will give you a $25 referral credit.

Box on hold notice

Box on Hold Notice: If your account is low on credit and it hasn’t been paid, we will not pack you a box. Credit will not be given if you fail to pick up your box.

Cancellation

Cancellation: To cancel your Farm on Central subscription, send us an email. We understand that things can come up suddenly, but please give us at least two weeks’ notice if you need to make changes, are moving, or need to pause for a longer period of time.

Pickup Locations

Pickup Locations: We have a number of locations that you may pickup in the general area. Please be respectful of these locations, and the hard work they do to help us distribute food to our community.

Please make sure to come during the pickup window- these locations typically do not have refrigeration, and can’t hold your bags.

Make sure to pick up the bag with your name on it- Shares are customized so each share is typically different.

Private Member Association (or PMA)

By joining our membership, you agree to do business with Central Food Hub, A Faith-Based Private Ministerial Association

What does this mean?

  • A Private Member Association (or PMA) is a business structure that allows us constitutional freedoms to do business in the private domain, outside of the government shackles.
  • As we are in the private domain and enter into private contractual relationships with our members, all disagreements are negotiated through mediation.
